Hobie doesn’t know if he should send Duke, his dog, to the military or not. World War II is raging over in Germany and they need dogs to help fight the war. Finally he decides to send his dog but he really misses him and wants him back. He tries hard to get Duke using lots of different reasons. Then Hobie’s dad is taken prisoner in Germany. Hobie decides to be brave and let Duke stay with the military. This is a great book because of the happy ending.
